Reflection
This research has definitely changed my view on language. I has shown me that language is extremely important and that without it we cannot communicate. In places that we rarely go some languages sound so different than enything that we have heard before it amazes me. Throughout this research i have wanted to ask a question on how the first language was created.
Recommendations.
I should probably go more in depth into all of my language instead of just an overview. If i did it over again I would make a better survey that I could show more than one person. I need to study the pronunciation more.
Conclusion
Based on all of my data a lot of people do not now anything about Xhosa, and other foreign languages in general. A lot of the people I asked about Xhosa had know idea what it was (I asked people in passing, not just in the interview). Also, Xhosa is almost gone in the world, because only 18 percent of one country in the world speaks it. What we can learn from my research is that languages are important and we should try to save them.
Data interpretation
The data I received from my interview was that Xhosa is a very unknown language. When I asked if he had heard the language, he had only heard it in a movie before. They had never even thought that clicks could be used to communicate before.
