The Xhosa language originated from the Xhosa tribe. It was discovered by western civilizations in the 1700s. It is spoken by 18 percent of South Africa today. It has a latin based alphabet with 15 different kinds of clicks. The main ones are the dental, which is the letter c, palatel which is q, and lateral which is x.
